British fine jeweller Blackacre has unveiled its first major collection, marking a shift from bespoke-only designs to limited editions inspired by the company’s recent expedition to Colombia.
The Origins Collection, released in October, reflects the brand’s commitment to ethical sourcing and transparency, with each piece linked to a documented journey from mine to workshop.
The new collection centres on three emerald pieces – the Chivor ring, Muzo earrings, and Muzo ring – which the brand describes as tributes to both its origins and the natural provenance of the gemstones.
Alongside the core designs, Blackacre will offer two routes for clients: a limited-edition line featuring rare stones such as an unheated Paraiba tourmaline from Brazil, a pink sapphire from Sri Lanka and yellow Zimmi diamonds; and bespoke commissions allowing clients to adapt designs using stones of known provenance.
Founder and creative director Sam Stirrat led the February expedition to the emerald mines of Muzo and Chivor, accompanied by filmmaker Will Warr, who captured the process from gemstone discovery to the crafting of finished pieces in the firm’s London atelier.
Blackacre, a certified B-Corp, has built its reputation on sustainable practices, including exclusive use of recycled precious metals and traceable gemstones.
The company was recently named “London’s Rising Star jeweller” by Spear’s Magazine and “Bespoke Retailer of the Year” by the National Association of Jewellers.
Each piece is made to order, continuing the brand’s emphasis on craftsmanship and ethical production. Blackacre said the collection represents a new stage in its growth, offering clients the option to purchase immediately available pieces while maintaining its bespoke foundations.
