TH March’s CEO Neil McFarlane will be interviewed on BBC Radio 4’s flagship weekend programme, Moneybox Live, on the importance of properly arranged personal jewellery insurance.

Broadcaster Paul Lewis plans to talk to McFarlane on 24 November about how best to insure personal jewellery and other precious possessions in the home.

The interview is a follow-up to a story previously featured on the programme where a man found himself being accused of fraud after making a claim for jewellery following a burglary at his home.

As acknowledged leading UK jewellery insurance experts, TH March was approached by producers to take part in the popular show.

McFarlane said: “Hopefully I’ll be able to highlight the importance of detailed valuations for jewellery and other valuables. We know from our claims statistics that having detailed information from jewellers and valuers upfront eases the process when a claim is made and helps to speed up settlement. Our trustpilot reviews from customers regarding claims supports this.”

He added: “I believe this is likely to be a good opportunity to highlight the work of the thousands of jewellers who are MIS referral agents and this can only be helpful for businesses and customers, particularly in the run-up to Christmas when sales and unfortunately, crime figures (along with insurance claims) are likely to peak.”
