Alexandria, a new London-based men’s high jewellery brand, has launched with a collection of 18k gold rings influenced by historic leaders including Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar and Genghis Khan. The company, founded by Ryan Bernell, aims to offer what it describes as a more distinctly masculine approach to fine jewellery.

Bernell said the business followed a decade-long search for designs that balanced craft and a stronger aesthetic. He said: “I spent more than a decade looking for jewellery that was both beautiful and truly masculine, and it simply didn’t exist.”

The debut range comprises three rings. Khan’s Dominion features an 18k gold horseman motif set with nephrite jade sourced from Siberia or kiln-fired guilloché enamel. Face of Rome presents a relief portrait of Julius Caesar against deep red enamel, flanked by two rubies. Alexander the Great includes a carved white agate cameo influenced by ancient Greek drachms, with smaller cameos of Zeus and Bucephalus.

Alexandria said future releases would include pendants, necklaces and objets d’art. All pieces are made from solid 18k gold with natural gemstones selected for colour and quality. The designs incorporate techniques such as guilloché engine-turning and grand feu enamel and are hallmarked by the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office in London. Items are produced to order by workshops in the UK and Europe with lead times of between three and 10 weeks.

The company offers private UK viewings, bespoke commissions and custom variations on existing pieces. Commissions are supplied with insured worldwide delivery.

Bernell said Alexandria aims to expand the range of luxury products available to men beyond watches and cufflinks. He said the brand seeks clients who value craft-led pieces made in limited volumes and intended to be kept long-term.

Alexandria is exploring partnerships with retailers and private-client advisers and will begin private viewings by appointment from December 2025.
