Manish Jogia, the owner of independent jeweller Sonny’s Jewellers and luxury boutique JQ Diamonds, has officially acquired Newey’s Jewellers, further solidifying his investment in the Jewellery Quarter.

Newey’s, located in its established premises in the Jewellery Quarter, is now part of Jogia’s expanding jewellery family. Although the long-term plans for the store are still being assessed, Jogia emphasized that understanding the existing team, clients, and operations would be a priority before making any major decisions.

To ensure a smooth transition, former directors John and Angela will remain with the business, with John continuing his role as a master goldsmith and Angela taking on a senior client advisory position. Both bring decades of experience and trusted relationships to the new chapter of Newey’s Jewellers.

Jogia said: “When we opened Sonny’s ten years ago, Newey’s was our neighbour, and we built a great working relationship during that time. When the opportunity came to take the business forward, it felt like a natural fit. I’m excited to work with the team and shape the next chapter together.”

“Our people are at the centre of everything. We have a clear direction in mind, but before implementing any significant changes, we want to spend time learning, listening, and building on the strengths that already exist.”

A celebratory event to mark the acquisition and unite the team and partners will be held in early 2026, with details to follow.
