Five men have been arrested by the Metropolitan Police after the group raided the Amir Jewellers jewellery store in Maida Vale, London.

According to the BBC, the thieves were armed with knives, a crowbar and a hammer and rode mopeds during the attack, which took place at around 5pm on Monday 20 May.

Members of the public attempted to stop the thieves as they left the store.
