Chippenham jeweller launches jewellery kit

Tamara Eggleston, a Chippenham-based jeweller, has announced the launch of a home jewellery making kit in a bid to boost business after lockdown saw her workshop close.

In addition, Eggleston has launched the initiative after many of the shops she sold through also had to close following the pandemic.

Eggeleston, who has used traditional silversmithing techniques for over two decades, currently runs Barking Hen Jewellery.

Speaking to the Gazette and Herald, she said: “I was speaking to one of my customers about how upset she was about missing my workshops, she said she was so desperate to make some jewellery. That was a lightbulb moment for me.

“I have designed the kit to include everything you need to create a beautiful bracelet, all silver-plated and sourced from reputable UK suppliers.”

She added: “The semi-precious stones have been specially selected for their spiritual properties, representing creating a sense of personal zen.”
