Makal is set to launch its second collection this week ahead of London Fashion Week.
The Batea Collection is inspired by ancient methods of gold extraction and the collection pays homage to the wooden tool used by the Mayans to mine gold from the Earth.
The collection includes 11 pieces in three different styles: the Batea, the Ottavia and the Sira.
Pieces from The Batea Collection will be available to order from 17 September.
Makal said: ‘‘Each piece is unique, made to order and combines artisanal Florentine craftsmanship with a modern and individualistic sense of mindfulness and appreciation for the beauty in nature.’’
