Welsh jewellery brand Clogau Gold has been shortlisted in two categories of the 27th Frontier Awards – billed as “The Oscars of the travel retail industry.”

Shortlisted in both the Best Supplier of the Year and Best Marketing Campaign of the Year by a Supplier categories, Clogau stated it is “eagerly anticipating” the results of the ceremony, due to take place on the 21 September at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes.

“To be shortlisted in these categories as a global supplier to the travel-retail Industry amongst some of the world’s leading brands is a fantastic achievement,” commented managing director Ben Roberts.

The company – which supplied the Welsh gold used in the wedding rings of Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – has reportedly seen sales to travel retail partners grow by 360 per cent during the first six months of 2011.
