Tiger Woods is to join a group of Rolex ambassadors that includes up-and-coming young players as well as established male and female champions in the world of golf.
Rolex has had close links with the sport and its players since the 1960s, when the brand endorsed Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.
“[We are] convinced that Tiger Woods still has a long career ahead of him and that he has all the qualities required to continue to mark the history of golf. The brand is committed to accompanying him in his new challenges,” said a statement from the company.
Woods’ partnership with Rolex will officially begin on 1 January 2012.
