Police appeal for Chipping Sodbury theft information

It happened at about 2.15am on Thursday 24 May 2012. Two young men wearing hooded tops smashed the window of the shop in Broad Street, Chipping Sodbury, and stole a tray containing mostly dummy display jewellery.

However, among the items taken was an onyx geode pendant believed to be unique. Crystals in the middle of the circular piece of black onyx form the shape of the African continent (see drawing pictured). The onyx is said to have naturally formed in this shape, making it unique, and it has been set in silver.

The other items stolen were valueless silver-coloured costume jewellery rings used for display purposes only and usually the only items left overnight.

Anyone with any information which could help police enquiries into the theft is asked to contact South Gloucestershire Priority Crime Team on 101.
