The new academy will build on its existing track record to create career
opportunities for aspiring young people in the jewellery sector and help the
industry prosper in the current economic climate.

The initiative is led by Creative & Cultural Skills and other partners
including the Goldsmith’s Company, Holt’s Academy and the British Jewellers’ Association.

Minister for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning John Hayes said: “It is
businesses themselves that are best-placed to identify the skills they need to
drive growth. This investment is very good news for the creative industries and
will help them to overcome the skills gaps that stand in the way of them
meeting their full potential.”
