Sheetal Manufacturing Company Private Ltd and Accurist Watches Limited have achieved certification by meeting the highest ethical, social and environmental standards established by RJC’s Member Certification system.

Sheetal Manufacturing Company Private Ltd is a manufacturer and marketer of polished diamonds with annual sales exceeding one million polished carats. Director Bharat Kakadia said: “At Sheetal, we have always believed in adopting the highest levels of ethical and professional standards across all of our operations. The RJC certification helps us to reassure our stakeholders regarding our strong commitment to these standards.”

Accurist Watches, first established in London in 1946, has achieved numerous awards in product, marketing and service. Managing director Andrew Loftus said: “Our decision to apply for membership of the Responsible Jewellery Council was based on our mutual and shared beliefs in ethical sourcing as well as the importance of open and accountable working practices.”

Metalor Technologies (Hong Kong) Ltd has achieved certification against the new RJC Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard, being the first Asian gold refiner to achieve this accolade. The company’s refineries provide gold and silver to the jewellery industry, banks and financial institutions.
