The competition, held in Trieste, Italy, is designed to give visibility and support to talented students of jewellery, fashion and accessory design and photography.
Shanghai-born Yang was selected as victor above nine other emerging designers for her final piece. Each designer was given Swarovski crystal elements to incorporate into their final designs, of which Yang’s was chosen.
Victorious Yang received a cash prize of €10,000 and a six-month internship at Swarovski’s headquarters in Austria.
