Tissot appointed as official timekeeper of the 6 Nations

In its role as Official Timekeeper of the RBS 6 Nations Championship, Tissot will work with the RBS 6 Nations to provide live on-screen match timing graphics to its broadcast partners. The referees officiating at the matches will also use an exclusive Tissot T-Touch Expert to assist them in performing their match duties.

In addition, Tissot will present a clock on the official RBS 6 Nations website to count down to the Championship’s opening fixture at 1.30pm on 2 February.

President of Tissot, Francois Thiébaud, said of the new partnership: “Tissot is very proud to, once again, be the Official Timekeeper of the RBS 6 Nations Championship, the greatest annual rugby championship in the world. The sport of rugby demonstrates many of the core values that we share at Tissot, such as teamwork, respect, discipline and a love for sports. These Championships are therefore the perfect platform for Tissot to be showcasing their timing expertise in an exciting, international environment, which at the same time represents the brand’s spirit perfectly. We cannot wait to get started.”

RBS 6 Nations chief executive John Feehan added: “We are delighted to welcome back Tissot as our Official Timekeeper. We greatly valued our relationship with Tissot when they were our timing partner back in 2004 and 2005 and it is great to have them back again within our very select family of Championship sponsors. Their passion for sport in general and for rugby in particular has impressed us greatly and we look forward to another very productive and successful partnership with them.”
