A group of thieves used a concrete block to smash their way into a Leeds Watchfinder store in a raid on Wednesday (8 November), making off with goods worth £150,000.
Some 15 Rolex watches were also taken in the raid which happened at 6.45pm at the store in Victoria Quarter, Leeds. The store was open at the time and there were two members of staff inside.
It is the second time in three months that the store has been broken into.
According to the Yorkshire Post, there were three to five men involved in the raid and there are conflicting reports of whether they were carrying firearms or not.
A spokesman for Watchfinder told the Yorkshire Post that “reports suggesting the men were armed cannot be verified.”
The men escaped the scene in a blue Audi.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “A large quantity of jewellery was stolen and an investigation is ongoing to identify the suspects. At this time we are still in the process of the investigation.”
