Graff unveils Paris Haute Couture-inspired collection

Additionally, a ring featuring a 3.50 carat oval white diamond depicts a bird curled around its wings, cradling the central stone

British multinational jeweller Graff has launched its new jewellery collection representing a selection of “contemporary” designs in celebration of Paris Haute Couture Week.

The collection is designed with “intricate” modern design motifs featuring graphic, abstract lines and asymmetrical arrangements.

Featuring necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, the collection boasts rare stones, including “extraordinary” diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

“Stand-out” pieces in the collection include a diamond bangle featuring a 118 carat cushion cut unheated Sri Lankan sapphire.

The centre stone is surrounded by over 39 carats of round and fancy cut diamonds – with each custom-cut stone set into a faceted arrangement that extends around the wrist.

Meanwhile, three rare 4 carat lozenge shaped Colombian emeralds are combined with over 23 carats of emeralds and 37 carats of diamonds within a stylised, asymmetrical necklace, with an angular diamond design that is repeated along its length.

Additionally, a ring featuring a 3.50 carat oval white diamond depicts a bird curled around its wings, cradling the central stone.

The design symbolises “new beginnings and hope”, continuing with Graff’s “stone-led design ethos”.

A sweeping curve of round diamonds forms the bird’s wing, with further rows of round and baguette cut diamonds set to portray individual feathers.

The solitaire rings, which are also part of the new collection, includes a 17.29 carat emerald cut old mine Colombian emerald, a 39.02 carat emerald cut unheated Sri Lankan sapphire, a 36.22 carat D Flawless Type IIa oval diamond and a 20.39 carat D Flawless Type IIa emerald cut diamond.

Throughout the collection, metal frameworks are handcrafted in platinum or gold and each stone is set into place by “highly accomplished” diamond setters in Graff’s London workshop using “revolutionary methods and state-of-the-art equipment masterfully combined with centuries-old tools and techniques that transcend time”.

Anne-Eva Geffroy, design director at Graff, said: “For over half a century, Graff has crafted exceptional jewellery that places the stones at centre stage – these magnificent jewels provide us with a creative freedom that is incomparable.

“Each creation is bold and contemporary, featuring graphic lines while retaining a design sensibility synonymous with Graff. When I was first presented with this collection of gems, it took my breath away. I knew immediately that we needed to experiment, to push the boundaries of our design language while remaining true to our stone-led design philosophy. We are always looking to innovate across design and craftsmanship, and we are also very fortunate to have access to the most fabulous diamonds and gemstones, which provide us with limitless inspiration.”
