Gemfields has announced the launch of its new Christmas collection, featuring designs set with rubies and emeralds.

According to Gemfields, rubies have long been associated with “passion”, “prosperity” and “protection”, and emeralds, linked to “growth”, “hope” and “renewal”.

The new range features a selection of rings including The Eshli Fine Jewelry x Gemfields Cabochon Emerald Half Eternity Ring and the Margery Hirschey x Gemfields Ruby and Diamond Studded Cigar Band.

The former boasts a classic design while the latter features an asymmetric design, both placing coloured gems alongside diamonds for “maximum effect”.

The collection also features The Shachee Fine Jewelry x Gemfields Mystique Earrings, which are mosaic-style drop earrings glittering with Mozambican rubies, and the Shruti Sushma x Gemfields Emerald Ying Yang Earrings, which are classic drops encased in 18k gold.

Additionally, under the necklace category, new pieces have been added such as the Nilufer Fine Jewellery x Gemfields Fleur Vlinder Necklace, featuring a delicate, and the Ruth Tomlinson x Gemfields Emerald Cluster Necklace.

It also includes the Sandy Leong Jewelry x Gemfields Coeur Ruby Pendant which boasts a heart-shaped Mozambican ruby on a recycled yellow gold chain.

Lastly, the collection features The Fabergé x Gemfields Essence Rose Gold Ruby Heart Surprise Locket and the FDL Editions by Francis de Lara x Gemfields Tuxedo Eyewear – luxury glasses featuring a Gemfields emerald teardrop.

Gemfields said: “We are always thrilled to see our emeralds and rubies dazzling in designs by jewellery brands we partner with – and never more so than in the bustling holiday season, when thoughts turn to the joys of giving.”
