British ethical jeweller, and founder of eponymous brand, Pippa Small has announced the launch of her new collection Chandra, inspired by the Hindu moon god.

Playing with its classic old cut, Pippa Small created moulds of the hand-cut stones it frequently uses, but have created them in matte silver and set them in 18kt Gold.

According to Small, the interplay of cool silver and warm gold offers a”contemporary twist to her core designs”.

The maker of this collection is Sushil, a skilled goldsmith from Jaipur, India, who has worked with Pippa Small for nearly 15 years.

He honed his craft under the guidance of his uncle, Khen Raj, a master goldsmith with 25 years of experience.

Small said: “The moon is an incredibly powerful symbol, and these pieces represent the vastness and power of love.

“Sushil and I have spent countless hours studying seeds, leaves, and flowers to replicate these minute miracles of nature in gold. He has an incredible instinct for beauty, proportion, balance, and harmony in design.”
