Online marketplace for independent handcrafted jewellery, JewelStreet, is to launch a jewellery pop-up shop in Covent Garden, London, to celebrate International Jewellery Designer Day from 19 October to 21 October.

The pop-up will feature handcrafted jewellery from 30 independent designers, live demonstrations of jewellery making will also be taking place and will feature jewellery giveaways, on the first International Jewellery Designer Day (IJDD) on 20 October.

At the pop-up, customers will have the opportunity to meet the designers and find out about their businesses.

Vivianne Leung, senior marketing executive of JewelStreet, said: “Following the incredible response we had at our summer pop-up shop, we wanted to give our designers- and designers worldwide- another opportunity to show the world the importance of shopping independent.

She added: “This event is for the designers, as much as it is for the consumers. Independent brands work tirelessly to create beautiful and unique jewellery for customers worldwide. They aren’t huge corporations, rather they are small local businesses that deserve to be recognised by the world.”
