Organised in conjunction with the Jewellery Show (TJS) Birmingham, the prizes were awarded to the best of the best in chokers and chunky neckwear.
Lucy Q landed the award in the precious jewellery category for its Short Multi-Drip necklace in sterling silver, designed to appeal to women of all ages. Pautinka, the brainchild of designer Svetlana Marshall, won the non-precious catwalk category of the competition for its Goldie Necklace Shawl with five moveable pins (pictured).
PR and marketing manager at the BJA Lindsey Straughton remarked: “We were delighted with the quantity and quality of the entries to this year’s competition. Statement neckwear is very much in fashion at the moment and all four of these designs are undoubtedly at the cutting edge of the trend and are worthy winners.”
Event director of TJS Julie Driscoll added: “Design is key to all that we do. Working with the BJA on this award enables us not only to identify and reward new talent, but also to help the winning designers to raise their profile within the industry. Congratulations to the winners and indeed to all who took part.”
Each of the winning designs will be shown three times daily as part of TJS’ ‘Catwalk Café’ fashion shows.
