World-famous London department store, Harrods, has collaborated with jeweller Fabergé this Easter to create a Fabergé salon and exhibition space in the store.
The famed Brompton Road window and façade will be dressed in Fabergé flags and the partnership will celebrate the ‘art of gifting’. The displays will “showcase the world of Fabergé” including its Imperial Easter Eggs and contemporary jewellery creations.
The exhibition will also feature an original 1901 Fabergé egg, ‘The Apple Blossom Egg’, crafted in gold, diamonds and nephrite, marking the first time these pieces have been exhibited in the UK and in a non-museum environment.
Harrods will also be home to the Fabergé salon that will house one-of-a-kind, collectible pieces designed for the firm by Parisian artist and jeweller, the late Frederic Zaavy.
The exhibition and salon will run from 1 – 21 April and in honour of the event a limited edition Spiral Tassel Pendant will be exclusively available at Harrods. The modern, diamond-set egg will come with a gemstone tassel, finished with amethyst, tsavorite or spinel.
