Police Watches has announced the winner of its competition which will see the victor travel with FC Barcelona and meet the team.

Mark Purcell, who purchased a watch from Grade A jewellers in Manchester, won the prize. Over 300 people had entered.

The in-store competition saw customers receive a scratch card with every watch they purchased, and those who registered their scratch cards were entered into a prize draw for a trip to Barcelona.

Purcell and his wife will now have the opportunity to meet the FC Barcelona team and travel with them to watch an away game.

Julie Halford, brand marketing manager for Intercity Group, the official distributor of Police Watches, told Jewellery Focus: “To amplify last year’s in-store World Cup activity, we ran a competition that allowed customers the chance to win the trip of a lifetime to Barcelona and the opportunity to meet the Police Lifestyle brand ambassador himself, Neymar Jr.

“Having helped cement our football credentials and get people excited to shop with this activation, we are definitely looking forward to moving on to the next big campaign.”
