Sussex-based jewellery retailer W.E Clark & Son has been nominated for ‘Best Independent Retailer’ at the Lewes District Business Awards 2016.

The awards, which will take place on 14 July at Lewes Town Hall, aim to celebrate excellence among the district’s business community and will see around 200 of the town’s leading business people attend the ceremony.

David Clark, managing director, said: “We’re extremely excited and proud to be nominated. Our team has worked really hard and thoroughly deserve this recognition.”

W.E Clark & Son, which recently earned accreditation as a Living Wage employer, will be up against art store Chalk Gallery and cheesemonger Cheese Please in a bid to win the award.
