Chupi Sweetman, founder of Irish jewellery brand Chupi, has been named as one of 10 ambassadors in the Nissan Generation Next 2017 programme.

The scheme awards ambitious people with the use a free car or van to help them on their way to become Ireland’s next generation of leaders on a local, national and international stage.

The competition invited entries from across Ireland, with the public then asked to vote for the winners.

The 10 winning ambassadors have been awarded with a brand new, taxed and insured Nissan to drive for a year as part of the innovative scheme.

Sweetman, who has been gifted the use of a Nissan Micra for the next 12 months, will also be working with Nissan on a range of collaborations throughout the year to generate further publicity for the jewellery brand.

Sweetman said: “We were overwhelmed when we found out that we were one of the winners. As a start-up business, this scheme has given us incredible support and means we will be able to do all sorts of exciting things this year.

“The support from our customers was amazing – we received several thousand emails and messages from so many people sending us good luck wishes.”
