Reservoir Timepieces launches Longbridge Collection

Watch designer Reservoir has launched its new Longbridge Collection, inspired by famous car manufacturers that settled in Longbridge, England.

The Longbridge Club Rose Gold features an 18ct rose gold case and a satin polished finish, “complemented” by a burnished-brown alligator strap, in homage to the saddlery of English clubs from the 1930s.

Additionally, the Longbridge Nightfall’s 41mm case is made from palladium, and is combined with a midnight-blue alligator strap to highlight the “majesty of night”.

The group said the collection’s timepieces and movements are “innovative for the radical way the time is displayed”, which is achieved by drawing on three horological complications.

A statement by the group read: “The retrograde minute at 240° recalls the R.P.M. counters, the manometers and the depth gauges. The jumping hour recalls mileage meters and the power reserve display echoes the fuel and oil gauges.

“The patented mechanical movement features an ETA2824 made of 124 components (The collaboration of the patented movement is by the same company who created the Opus 14). Precision, exactitude and reliability: this is all about measuring time, delivering performance and assessing risk factors.”
