Fiyah jewellery has announced the return of its Fiyah Jewellery Award which aims to help budding jewellery designers and artists to express themselves and promote their work.
The Manchester-based jewellers said that the reasoning behind the competition is to support “superb craftsmanship” and students that are “passionate about making jewellery”.
The brief behind the competition is to create or design a piece of jewellery that is unique and spiritual. The winner of the competition will receive £1000.
Applicants may submit any design that you feel fits the brief, including any that you have used for coursework.
The details for submission are:
- The submission can be a sculpture, CAD file, sketch, painting, technical drawing, animation, digital illustration, a piece of jewellery or any other appropriate medium
• Applicants must be 17 or over
• Any submission submitted after the deadline will not be considered
• Applicants may submit as an individual or as a group
• Applicants’ designs must be sent to [email protected]
Formatting
• Use the file format .zip for uploads
• Uploaded file must be titled with the applicant’s name
• If the submission is a physical object, it must be photographed and submitted to [email protected]
The deadline for submissions is the 31 August 2019.
