Retailers will be able to access a variety of resources, sharing hints, tips and advice, by either logging in with Twitter or sending an email request.

By mid-April, retailers will be able to obtain a number of how-to guides in return for a tweet. e-mphasis Internet Marketing, which delivers all of Independent Retailer Month UK’s online presence, search marketing and social media content, has created a facility that enables visitors to the website to download documents by logging in with Twitter (or by using a simple email request form for those who aren’t Twitter users).

Some of the topics that will be covered by the guides are: how to create a range plan; how to create a marketing and promotional calendar; how to get your positioning right; how to create a pricing strategy; how to get started with social media; how to select an EPoS system; how to create an engage window displays and visual merchandising features; how to write a press release and engage the local press; how to approach a rent or rates negotiation; and how to leverage Independent Retailer Month to increase footfall, sales, customer engagement and loyalty.
