Elvis supposedly gave the self-winding, center-seconds, water-resistant, stainless steel and pink gold-capped chronometer wristwatch to Charlie Hodge, a friend from the U.S army.
Antiquorum president and CEO Evan Zimmerman said: “Antiquorum is proud to add to its growing list of world records for timepieces with important provenance that includes Ghandi’s Zenith pocket watch, Steve McQueen’s Rolex and Einstein’s Longines.”
The top lot of the sale was a Patek Phillipe Ref.5016, a tourbillon minute-repeater.
Other brands that performed well at the sale include Lange and Soehne.
