Held at the Birmingham School of Jewellery on 25 January, the annual event saw a whole host of industry representatives come together to view the Assay Office’s presentation, which puts the performance and future plans of the sector into context, and flags up issues which may affect the UK jewellery industry.

Chief executive of the Birmingham Assay Office Michael Allchin presented an analysis and interpretation of the up-to-date hallmarking figures and other relevant statistics, and also delivered an overview of the UK jewellery market.
