Recognising some of the most creative and outstanding new jewellery launches, Editor’s Choice will see winning pieces, as selected by jewellery and luxury writer Claire Adler, showcased throughout the duration of IJL.
Event director and Jewellery Focus columnist Sam Willoughby said: “Editor’s Choice is a real show favourite. Buyers and visitors benefit from seeing exciting pieces tipped as some of the best new launches on the market, and the winning companies are always thrilled with the resulting media coverage and industry acclaim.”
Editor’s Choice pieces are divided into four categories: Commercial Vision; Visual Impact; Originality; and Technical Excellence.
One of last year’s winners Martina Hamilton said of the initiative: “The awareness of our brand, supported by the Editor’s Choice initiative, was enormously encouraging – as was the solid commercial reaction to our jewellery. The award-winning piece was also featured in the national branding for the new Jewellery Hall at Arnotts in Dublin, so I think the vote of confidence in the piece at IJL was prophetic. As a result of the show and the additional profiling, we saw a major boost to our sales. We’re already rebooked for IJL 2013!”
Deadline for entries into the competition is 10 May 2013. Winning exhibitors and their pieces will be revealed ahead of the show. IJL exhibitors can enter Editor’s Choice by visiting the show’s website.
