Based in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, the company was named as the winner at a gala evening for industry professionals, VIPs and graduates of Holts Academy at London’s Guildhall.

Lee Lucas of Holts Academy said: “The competition for Apprentice Employer of the Year was fierce; Toye & Co was up against companies from right across the jewellery industry. But the company’s commitment to the progression of its apprentices as well as the unique and very valuable guidance and support won out.”

Toye & Co chief executive Fiona Toye added: “Our business is built on craft skills and so training and encouraging the next generation is absolutely essential to our long-term success. This is why we invest time and energy in our apprenticeship programme.”

Holts Academy exists to foster and deliver high quality training and development to students and apprentices in the jewellery trade.
