Jacobs the Jewellers wins Reading’s Independent Retailer of the Year

This year’s winner of Reading’s Independent Retailer of the Year has been announced as Jacobs the jewellers.

The award was presented at the Reading Retail Awards gala dinner by a panel of independent judges in front of a packed ballroom at the Hilton Hotel in Reading.

The family-run Berkshire jewellers beat off stiff competition to win one of the evening’s most prestigious awards. The awards, which have been running for four years, promote outstanding retailing and service in the Reading area.

Owner Adam Jacobs said: “We were up against some great competition and it shows how good a retail destination Reading has become. We’ve been so busy this year introducing e-commerce, our new in-house computer-aided design (CAD) service as well as new products so it’s fabulous to be recognised for all our initiatives.”
