Thieves rob jewellers in Scotland

Thieves have made off with thousands of pounds worth of rings after robbing a jewellery store in Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. 

The incident took place on Wednesday, July 22, at around 12:45pm, when two men entered Gemini Jewellers in the town centre and stole a “significant quantity” of rings thought to be worth thousands of pounds.

Detective Constable Garry Duguid at Annan’s criminal investigation department, said: “Thankfully, nobody was hurt during this incident, however, it was a very traumatic experience for the staff involved.

“The incident happened around lunchtime so I am sure there would have been a number of people about at that time.”

The first suspect is described as a white, 5ft 10 male between 40 and 45 years-old, who is slim, clean shaven and has a red complexion. He is described as wearing a brown flat cap, a short brown jacket and spoke with a Glasgow accent.

Meanwhile, the second man is described as white, 5ft 10, between 40 and 45 years old, with dark brown curly hair and a protruding lower jaw. Police said he had a scruffy appearance and was wearing a black jacket, jeans and silver-rimmed glasses.
