Watch brand Omologato will launch the limited edition Official James Hunt Chronograph as part of what would have been the world champion’s 70th birthday (29 August).There are only 750 timepieces created in each design the range all dedicated to telling the story of the British Formula 1 racer.
A special feature film with James’s son, and racing driver, Freddie Hunt has been released in conjunction with the launch.
The watches come with either a leather strap or a nylon/leather bonded bracelet, with both models featuring a matte black dial. It is also designed with James Hunt’s signature and the iconic red, blue and yellow stripes emblazoned across the face – the very same colours that appeared on James’s race helmet.
Freddie Hunt said: “My dad was a ‘rebel of the track’, a maverick playboy and a hero, not just to me but to fans across the world and now his legacy lives on through this wonderful exclusive new watch. It’s like having a little bit of James Hunt with you.
“I want to thank Omologato for offering me and the family the remit to immerse ourselves within the full design of The Official James Hunt Chronograph”

The watches are available to order now and are priced at £599 for both stainless steel and IP plated cases.
