Deakin and Francis has announced the appointment of Mark Riddle as the company’s new business development manager.

In his new role, Riddle will focus on working with existing UK accounts to build sales, secure compatible new UK wholesale distribution for the Deakin and Francis brand, and identify new corporate clients.

Previously, Riddle was reportedly credited with trebling UK sales at the Danish silver brand, Sif Jakobs Jewellery, over the last three and a half years.

He has also led sales growth with UK manufacturers including Dartington Crystal, Waterford Wedgwood, Denby Pottery, Grants of Dalvey and Ortak Jewellery.

Riddle said: “I have been fortunate indeed to work for leading UK manufacturers and inspiring UK retailers over the last 30 plus years.

“Post-Brexit, it is a truly great feeling to be working with a UK manufacturer again and in the iconic and world famous Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.”

Established in 1786, Deakin and Francis produce luxury cufflinks, hand-stamped signet rings featuring Single Mine Origin gold (SMO), men’s sterling silver accessories and ladies’ fine hand-set jewellery.
