Television presenter Suzi Perry has teamed up with jewellery designer Alyssa Smith to create a collection of racing-inspired jewellery.

The presenter, who is famous for her coverage on the MotoGP and Formula One, has marked her first foray into the jewellery world with Smith & Perry Motorsports collection, which is comprised of charm bracelets, racetrack necklaces, earrings and cufflinks.

The collection was first inspired by social media interactions from fans of both Perry and Smith, who then sat down together to create miniature racetrack jewellery. Smith was granted permission from Silverstone to use their exact track layout for the collection.

Select proceeds from the Smith & Perry collection are donated to the charity Promise Dreams, of which Suzi Perry is a patron. Smith said that the collection has already raised over £10,000 for the charity.

Perry said: “I’m delighted to be working with Alyssa, she’s a talented young woman who makes the most incredible jewellery, and I’m so thrilled that Promise Dreams can benefit from this project.”

Smith, who started her eponymous business six years ago, said: “Never in a million years did I expect to have the opportunities I’ve had since knowing Suz. I am looking forward to making even more children’s dreams come true with this charity collection.”

Speaking to Jewellery Focus Smith said that she is thrilled to have the “biggest” female personality in motorsport as the face of the new collection. “It’s normally only the huge players like Pandora who can do that kind of thing, so I am literally over the moon,” she said.
