The site of the Hatton Garden jewellery raid earlier this year could become a museum commemorating the heist, according to the new owner of the vaults.
The 88-90 Hatton Garden Safe Deposit is currently believed to be considering options after it was picked up on a long-lease by property millionaire and Tottenham Hotspur vice president, David Pearl.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Pearl said: “There could be a museum around the incident, it could be revamped to have high-security and new deposit boxes, or let to a jewellery shop.”
The site was put on the market in October by liquidators Streets SPW with a £200,000 guide price, following the closure of the previous leaseholder – Hatton Garden Safe Deposit.
The agreed price has not been disclosed.
