Scottish jeweller Rox has announced the closure of its store in Silverburn shopping centre, Glasgow, after eight years of trading.
In a statement the company said: “Unfortunately, we have outgrown our tiny, little boutique in the mall. As one of the founding boutiques, we’ve enjoyed great success at Silverburn as Rox has grown into one of the UK’s most inspiring and exciting British luxury jewellers.
“Since 2010, we have been actively seeking larger shop formats that allow us to offer our total ‘Diamonds & Thrills’ experience.
“Our new format stores feature Laurent-Perrier champagne bars, private lounges and extensive display space. Unfortunately, we don’t have the space in Silverburn to offer our shoppers that experience.
“The boutique has served Rox and our customers well over the years. We would like to thank all of our loyal Silverburn shoppers for their custom.”
The statement added that it is an “exciting” time for Rox with the launch of its in-house designed jewellery collections, adding that it is “looking forward” to 2016.
