Jack Murphy Jewellers has revealed that two of its employees raised £1,200 For Pips Hope and Support charity.

Employees Rory Murphy and Nuala O’Neill recently took part in a skydive on behalf of the jewellers.

The funds raised will enable the development and delivery of this community service during these particularly challenging times.

The charity is an independent advocate in the Southern Trust and Newry, Mourne and Down Council areas on all aspects of suicide, including intervention, prevention, postvention and current trauma in order to reduce and prevent suicide, self-harm and emotional and mental distress.

O’Neil said: “It was one of the best experiences, pushing myself out of my comfort zone to raise awareness for a very worthwhile charity. I really appreciated all of the support received from Jack Murphy Jewellers and the wider community.”

Murphy added: “A massive thank you to everybody who donated to PIPS Hope and Support.

“It was an amazing experience and a privilege to participate whilst raising awareness of the services this amazing charity offers. We were also very lucky with the weather on the day – making for fantastic views from the plane!”
