Missoma collaborates with Harris Reed for new collection

Conceptualised during lockdown, the Harris Reed x Missoma collection aims to combine gothic and romantic themes from “the old world” with ideals of fluidity and inclusivity

Demi-fine jewellery company Missoma has announced the launch of a new collection in collaboration with the British-American fashion designer, Harris Reed.

Conceptualised during lockdown, the Harris Reed x Missoma collection aims to combine gothic and romantic themes from “the old world” with ideals of fluidity and inclusivity.

The pieces are split into a range of categories, such as the serpent, the butterfly, moon and stars, labradorite, hands, love lockets, daggers, two faces, and arrows.

Marisa Hordern, founder and CEO at Missoma, said: “This collection is all about acceptance and inclusivity through our deeply symbolic pieces, given the romantic opulence and gothic chic that comes with all things Harris.”

Designed as “a totem of rebirth”, the serpent pieces vary from handpicked earrings to coiled rings, while the butterfly motif is available through necklaces and bracelets.

Elsewhere, the Harris Reed ornate locket necklace has been inspired by London’s Royal Opera House, while the hands pieces have taken inspiration from Georgian jewellery.

Speaking of the collection’s creation, Reed said: “Throughout this collaborative process, I was really able to let my creativity run free and able to dream as big as I could possibly dream.”
