The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) has announced that it will welcome two new members to its marketing team.
Adam Cook and Rushana Miller will join the association next week to help deliver the group’s new strategy, which is in its final stages of development.
Cook joins the NAJ as marketing officer with expertise in video and campaign planning, whilst Miller, a third year journalism student at Birmingham City University joins as communications assistant.
The association also announced the departure of its commercial manager Garry Lane, who is leaving after joining in 2019.
Whilst the group said it won’t be replacing Lane’s role immediately, some of his responsibilities will be picked up by other members in order to focus on the strategic objectives set out by the NAJ National Committee.
Gary Wroe, chair, NAJ, said: “We want to wish Garry the very best for the future and we thank him for his efforts since he joined us. The National Committee also looks forward to welcoming Adam and Rushana to the team.
“This is an ideal moment with new people joining the team for us to do a mini reshuffle of roles in order to ensure that we are fully fit for purpose as the trade comes out of the Pandemic and we initiate work on our new strategic plan.”
David Doyle, president, NAJ, added: “As we continue to see our membership expand, and we increase and improve the range of services that we offer to add value to our trade members, it has become apparent that we need to increase the size of our internal team a little to ensure we stay on top of everything.
“It’s a vibrant time for the association and following our very successful inaugural NAJ summit we are now planning for 2022 and beyond. Exciting times lie ahead for us and our membership.”
