British Asian jeweller PureJewels has presented a curated selection of handcrafted pieces at Chequers, the country residence of the UK Prime Minister, as part of the official celebration of the signing of the UKāIndia Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The East London-based brand was invited by Indiaās Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) to participate in the event, held on 24 July 2025, which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
PureJewels showcased its work alongside the six winning designs from the 2025 Artisan Awards, a leading Indian jewellery design competition.
PureJewels showcased pieces from six collections, including Dhwani, Vridhi, Rosettes, Armari, Aiyna and Maharani. Dhwani and Vridhi have both been recognised by the Goldsmithsā Craft and Design Council (GCDC).
The designs combine ātraditional techniques with cultural storytelling and themesā ranging from āinner harmony to ambition and transformationā.
Now in its 75th year, PureJewels specialises in fine jewellery crafted in 22- and 18-carat gold and 950 platinum, with a focus on heritage craftsmanship, responsible sourcing and artisanal design.
