Goldsmiths has opened a larger store at Merry Hill, moving from a 2,700 sq ft unit to a 6,000 sq ft space in the Upper Mall.
The jeweller has combined two units creating a “state-of-the-art” location with a wrap-around glass façade.
The new shop includes a larger Rolex room, branded areas for Omega, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Longines, and Tissot, and introduces Rolex Certified Pre-Owned and Longines spaces.
The move is part of a wider trend of upsizes at the centre, with M&S, Footasylum, Costa, and EE all expanding their presence in the past year.
The expansion comes as M&S prepares to open its multi-million pound, 100,000 sq ft store at Merry Hill next month.
Alistair Winning, asset manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, said: “The arrival of Goldsmiths’ upsized store has been a much-anticipated addition, highlighting our tenants’ dedication to investing in Merry Hill. By expanding, the brand is playing an even bigger part in fulfilling our visitors’ demand for premium jewellery.”
