Kingston Jewellers has launched its own brand lab-grown diamond ring collection.

The company said the launch comes after nine months of development and collaboration with the European supplier of lab-grown diamonds Madestones. The new collection features solitaire, halo and trilogy diamond rings all with lab grown diamonds.

Director Edward Kingston said: “We decided after first previewing the diamonds at the Freiburg Gem show in 2016 and following developments to be one of the first Jewellers to offer a collection of 40 different lab-grown diamond ring designs instore and online.

“We have teamed up with mount specialist Treasure House and are offering stones from 0.30ct – 1.00ct in round brilliant cut with certificates and laser inscription.”

He added: “Although the growth in sales will initially be slow we feel the market will grow quickly like in the US. The UK Millennium customer is looking for something in Jewellery that is both ethically more transparent and better value than the mined Diamonds.”

Kingston Jewellers said it hopes to expand the range to its Wedding Ring collections in Spring 2019.
