Anja Potze Fine Jewellery has raised £30k of funds to be donated to the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.

The fine jewellers, situated in Worcester, have worked to raise charitable funds throughout the year. The money will now go towards “pioneering” new technology for the charity.

This technology includes a portable, “state of the art” ultrasound machine, which will allow consultants at the unit to reach more patients across the country.

Consultant Breast Surgeon, Steven Thrush, said: “The support and commitment from Anja Potze since the Breast Unit opened nearly four years ago (as well as before that during the capital appeal), has been phenomenal.

“She is truly a wonderful ambassador for this charity and for the Breast Unit.”

He added: “Anja’s dedication to fundraising such a significant amount has enabled us to buy this cutting edge piece of technology which keeps the Worcestershire Breast Unit at the forefront of breast cancer treatment across the United Kingdom.”

Anja Potze added: “As a Worcester city centre business with customers from across the whole county, I meet a lot of people who have been affected in some way by breast cancer and who have been patients at the Unit.

“The Worcestershire Breast Unit is a vital part of the health of our community and we must all support its services. I understand from Mr Thrush and his team that this new piece of technology will assist in that.”
