The National Association of Jewellers has launched NAJ Endorsed, a scheme recognising external training providers that meet industry standards for professional learning across the jewellery, silverware and allied trades.

Under the initiative, courses submitted by providers are reviewed by the Association for content, learning outcomes and delivery methods.

Approved programmes can display the NAJ Endorsed logo on their marketing materials and are listed on the association’s website to help learners identify trusted, skills-focused training.

The scheme covers a broad range of subjects, including jewellery design, bench skills, leadership and valuation. Providers seeking endorsement can contact the association for further information.

Three organisations have been approved at launch: Virada, Watch Scholar and At The Bench.

Virada offers on-demand courses in sales and leadership, focusing on buying psychology, communication and management techniques.

Meanwhile, Watch Scholar provides specialist programmes for valuers, retailers and others working with watches, covering authentication and valuation.

Additionally, At The Bench delivers a year-long jewellery diploma combining video-led instruction with online tutor support for aspiring makers.

The association stated that the scheme reflects its wider aim of supporting education and professional development across the trade by highlighting courses aligned with industry needs.

Marie Garnett, head of education at the National Association of Jewellers, said: “The NAJ Endorsed programme marks an important step in ensuring that high-quality, relevant training is easily identifiable across our industry. By recognising trusted providers who share our commitment to professional standards, we’re helping learners make informed choices and giving businesses confidence that their teams are investing in the very best education.”
