Jewellery retailer Mococo has relocated its Chester store and more than doubled its size in bid to improve its presence in the city.
The store has been relocated from the Grosvenor Shopping Centre on St Michael’s Row to the corner of Foregate Street, a “more prominent location in the city centre” according to the retailer.
The expansion increases the store’s floor space from 400 sq ft to 1,100 sq ft, allowing the retailer to stock new brands for the first time, including Michael Kors jewellery and Alex Monroe.
The new store will feature video wall window displays, a first-floor training suite and a shop-in-shop for brands Thomas Sabo, ChloBo, Clogau and new entrant to the UK market, Uno de 50.
Speaking about the relocation, managing director of Mococo, Lee Hooson, said the expansion allows Mococo to offer “so much more” to the shopping tourists who visit Chester.
He said: “Our new Chester store is a sign of our continued commitment and investment in the world’s leading designer jewellery brands, offering an enhanced shopping experience with much more browsing space and additional jewellery collections.”
After opening its seventh store in Birkenhead last year, the company said that plans for its eighth store are on track for a September 2015 opening.
