PureJewels wins local innovation in business award

PureJewels won the award in recognition of its 400% growth in visits to its e-commerce site over the past two years during the pandemic

East London jeweller PureJewels has won the “Best Innovation in Business 2021” category at the Newham Chamber of Commerce business awards.

PureJewels won the award in recognition of its 400% growth in visits to its e-commerce site over the past two years during the pandemic.

The company supplies 22-carat gold jewellery and a wide range of designs, many of them set with diamonds and coloured gemstones on its website.

Jayant Raniga, CEO, PureJewels, said: “Winning the Best Innovation in Business category is a testament to how we have pivoted as a business during the pandemic. We have continuously invested and developed technology and systems that enable us to become a truly omni-channel company.

“This enables us to focus on our customers’ needs with greater efficiency and on expansion and growth in the coming year. We have implemented technology that allows us to deliver our stock products the next day throughout the UK.”

Lloyd Johnson, chairman of Newham Chamber of Commerce, added: “It’s great to see so much innovation in one borough, but Jayant of PureJewels by Bhanji Gokaldas and his team are commended for showing real change and innovation, transforming their business in the jewellery industry.”
