Tiffany and Co. has unveiled a new collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, comprising a limited-edition bronze sculpture and a bespoke jewellery piece.

The Bronze Eroded Penny Vessel – a patinated bronze sculpture embedded with polished crystal – contains a reimagined version of the brand’s HardWear necklace. Only 39 of the handcrafted works have been produced, each made at Arsham Studio in New York.

The necklace, made from 18-carat white gold, is set with more than 1,000 diamonds and over 500 tsavorites. It draws from a 1971 design in Tiffany’s archive and reflects Arsham’s signature “future relic” concept.

The vessel takes inspiration from Arsham’s 2013 work Study of the Eroded Penny and Tiffany’s 1885 redesign of the Great Seal of the United States. The penny motif is described as a “symbol of luck and transformation, fusing historical references with modern craftsmanship”.

Each piece is delivered in a Tiffany Blue art-handling crate, accompanied by a matching blue box containing dual-branded white gloves.

Arsham said: “My work explores the idea of history as a living, evolving entity, and Tiffany and Co. shares that same reverence for craftsmanship and heritage.

“This collaboration has allowed me to push my ‘future relics’ concept even further, transforming an iconic symbol into something completely new. I’m incredibly grateful to Tiffany and Co. for embracing this vision.”
