The National Association of Jewellers is hosting its 10th JET Business Network Congress event, focusing on the theme of ‘how to sell more jewellery’.

The theme was chosen by the retailers who are finding it increasingly difficult to sell jewellery in a market sector challenged by: falling high street footfall, rising rents, increasing vacant units, declining discretionary spend, the growth of digital and the decline in purchases of precious metal jewellery.

Delegates will learn from hearing expert speakers sharing tips and advice, as well as their knowledge and expertise on how to sell more jewellery in today’s ‘retail and e-tail world’.

The sessions will focus on:

The importance of video in today’s world of retail and e-tail – Using different types of videos to promote products and how to make your own or brief a professional.

‘Better experiences, better business’ – Case studies and frameworks to help you improve customer experience; how to earn loyalty, how to create brand advocates and ultimately how you can charge more for better experiences.

Communication skills for selling luxury – Creating customer focus, managing the client’s internal state and subsequent commitment to buy. From language and tone of voice to behaviour and body language.

How to sell more jewellery using Facebook and Instagram –  How to find customers, increase engagement and understand who sees what content and how to manipulate algorithms.

Great photography sells jewellery – Achieve a better response from your online and offline marketing.
